My Author Journey

It was August 2023 when The Lord said to me, “Publish.” I knew He meant the written thoughts that had spent years in my files. All these centered around a child I called Lil’ Kid.

This author's journey is a real mixed bag of challenges and streams of light. You can guess what I like the best. Let’s start with the challenges and get them out of the way, tho many of them persist yet today.

Here is the list:

I had no clue what ‘publishing’ entailed.

Writing is one thing, but crafting it well is quite another.

Elements like website, YouTube,

Instagram reels, “Show them some pictures”,

and give them a sneak peek.

Good ideas indeed, but the common denominator is technology.

The image that word carries is that of

four 18-wheelers all headed my way.

Okay, girl just try it another day!

And the cost, yes in dollars, makes my credit card holler!!

However, the pattern has been a day of challenges felt head to toe then the next morning (along with coffee) Insight and inspiration, a dawning light awaits me on my keyboard and I start to type.

The News update is this:

The single book I thought He had in mind has expanded to a series.

A CHILD’S HEART SERIES

GOD … I WANT TO KNOW YOU!

The first in a series introducing the

foundation-of-heart

God desires.

I have come to see,

The Wise Master Builder

desires foundations up to code.

Next will come:

BIG LOVE

Learning To Live With God Inside

Then…

TRUTH

Learning To Tell Yourself The Truth.

Each book is written from the simplicity

of a child’s heart, so other children

are can easily engage and relate.

As each book ends,

it will announce the

WHAT’S NEXT

you can anticipate.

Now in 2024 all the interior of GOD I WANNA KNOW YOU… illustrated in color and the launch date yet to be set. When you receive this the website and webmail will be complete.

I have come to see, I write not just for children, so please indulge me while I sound a bit like Sr. Seuss: A Heart Is a Heart Any Age.

Tho I focus day by day on what He has in mind (you know, approaching the elephant one bite at a time) I feel I should give you a real-life view.

Just me, cuddled in my recliner writing to you.
